Marketing Director
The Marketing Director is a key role at DeskNet. This position will direct the pricing, positioning and promotion of our products. A background in software / solution marketing is mandatory. Experience in selecting and managing marketing service providers is important. Financial services knowledge would be highly beneficial. The position will work closely with our business development and sales teams to generate leads and to ensure the overall success of our products in the marketplace.
Specific responsibilities:
- Establish and evangelize key messages and value propositions for DeskNet products
- Establish, document, and organize the DeskNet market offerings (product, services, marketing and sales) and pricing models
- Manage the development of all communications materials and collateral including taking an active role in copywriting and desktop publishing
- Set the direction for, and oversee the execution of, DeskNet’s web presence
- Manage the creation and maintenance of a library of sales tools driven by market requirements of the sales process
- Conduct secondary market research for product pricing, positioning, market requirements for products/services, competitive analysis & differentiation
- Conduct primary customer research for developing target profile, identifying buying patterns, trends and reasons
- Ensure frequent and relevant media & analyst coverage
- Manage all external marketing services support
- Support in the tracking of results for all marketing initiatives and lead generation activities
Key Performance Metrics:
- Development and execution of DeskNet's marketing plan and initiatives within budget
- Effectiveness and use for sales tools and collateral
- Quantity and quality of media and analyst exposure
- Number of qualified leads generated from marketing initiatives
